Build your monthly model

Your numbers. Your assumptions.

These are your fees to your customers. Set your own rates and expected collections to estimate their combined monthly contribution.

01

Late fees

Adjustable

Choose a percentage of the late balance or a flat fee for each tenant who is late.

Calculate late fees by

$1,500.00 × 5% = $75.00 in estimated monthly late fees. Only the selected method contributes.

02

Credit-card fees

Adjustable

Choose the share of total monthly parking revenue paid by credit card and the customer card-fee rate.

33%

$15,000.00 × 33% = $4,950.00 paid by credit card.
$4,950.00 × 3% = $148.50 in gross card-fee receipts toward processing expenses. Processing costs are not deducted.

03

Marketspace booking fees

Planned

Model a potential Marketspace booking fee. This option is planned and is not available yet.

$500.00 × 2% = $10.00 in booking fees. Only the fee contributes to the total.

04

Company platform fees

Adjustable

Model a technology or platform fee you charge each customer company for the software, based on its parker count.

300 parkers × $0.25 = $75.00 per month across your customer companies.

Every location is different, and Tandem may or may not pay for itself at yours, but we will work to help you offset the cost.

Planned option: monthly settlement

We're planning an option to deduct Tandem's monthly fee from eligible payments collected on your behalf, instead of charging it up-front. After month-end reconciliation and the settlement period, we would send you any remaining balance after agreed fees and adjustments.

This option is not available yet. If you're interested, we'll work with you on the details.

How Tandem can pay for itself

Tandem gives you several ways to offset its monthly cost. You can use one or combine them, and you decide how far to go.

Late fees.

Start a new late fee program, or set late fees to apply automatically so they're charged on time, every time. As your needs change, you can adjust the amounts with Tandem's late fee estimator.

A card fee on online payments.

Where allowed, you can add a 3% fee to card payments your customers make through the online payment portal. You can leave bank account payments free, which encourages customers to switch.

Planned: a fee on Tandem Marketspace bookings.

Tandem Marketspace booking fees are planned. You would choose the amount and keep the fee. This option is not available yet.

A per parker platform fee.

You can add a small charge for each parker to a company's monthly invoice. You choose the amount and which companies pay it. It shows as its own line on the invoice, so companies can see exactly what it's for.

A mix of all four.

Most operators will want a combination. We'll work with you to build a plan that fully or partly covers the cost of Tandem, based on your locations, your parkers, and how your customers pay.

Every number has a formula.

  • Late fees: monthly amount that is late × your late-fee rate.
  • Card fees: monthly parking revenue × credit-card share of total revenue × your card-fee rate.
  • Booking fees (planned): monthly booking value × your booking fee rate.
  • Company platform fees: total company parkers × monthly fee per parker.

Gross monthly total: add the four contributions above. The parking, late-payment, and booking values are calculation bases, not extra amounts added to the total.
